POSITION PURPOSE

The media analyst will be responsible for general quantitative and qualitative research to produce media evaluation reports to improve the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. He/she will work to help optimize campaigns and programs, track and analyze test-and-learn plans and initiatives, and track KPI’s based on objectives, measurement, and analytics plans. This position will also be responsible for managing growth initiatives relating to customer file size and evaluation of customer acquisition costs. Additionally the job will entail tracking the onsite consumer journey by marketing channel to determine effectiveness on engagement and conversion. The role requires a solid technical acumen of discovering and blending data across sources to deliver reports and analysis around customer behavior, consumer research, and third party sources. This role will perform data analyses that helps drive a deeper understanding of our customers and marketing opportunities to drive incremental growth, engagement, and revenue. 

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • 40% - Campaign Management ? Create and manage Paid Media campaigns based on Media Plans and make optimizations based on real-time opportunities 
  • 30% - Analysis & Reporting - Maintain regular reporting and budget tracking for the team, analyze campaign performance, and identify trends 
  • 15% - Communicate optimization changes/course corrections made to Media Plans to both to internal teams and partners 
  • 15% - Develop reporting tools and measure ongoing effectiveness of homedepot.com?s activities against top industry benchmarks

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 1 years

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1-3 yrs. experience in marketing analytics and/or media; focus on e-commerce and retail

     
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce cross and upsell opportunities and analytical insights that help drive best online practices
  • Ability to work independently and with ownership over projects.
  • Self-starter
  • Advanced Excel

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Solid understanding of technical pieces of digital marketing such as website analytics, audiences, data feeds, tracking codes, etc.
