The Senior Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Copywriter is reponsible for creating Home Improvement-related, customer and search engine friendly content to drive addtional web access to the Sears Home Services domain. The Copywriter is also responsible for managing the process of Home Improvement-related content creation.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
*Writes copy exhibiting a firm grasp of web content development methodology, Associated Press (AP) Style and SEO principles in order to ensure copy aligns with best practices and brand standards.
*Researches business needs and industry trends and leverages user testing to help write customer-focused copy.
*Generates creative and strategic copy solutions, specifically may lead promotional campaign direction through messaging ideas and/or help establish functional copy style guidelines.
*Creates localized content based on product mix available and local vernacular.
*With SEO, designers and User experience, develops concepts and executes new online presences to increase company lead flow.
*Provides feedback to Home Improvement management team on copy to ensure consistency in brand tone, language, and style.
*Maintains the editorial calendar, content inventory and other documentation and works cross-functionally within the organization to assess and prioritize content needs and deadlines.
*Leverages market data what market data such as search volume and search trends from keyword research tools to develop content themes/topics that educate customers and other target audiences.
Job Requirements:
*Three to four years of marketing, copywriting or editorial experience required
*Basic understanding of Content Management System (CMS)
*Experience managing multiple complex projects, people and resources in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, dynamic environment
*An understanding and familiarity with online performance metrics.
Preferred Skills:
*Knowledge of the Home Improvement industry.
*Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and/or other web development languages.
Education Experience:Bachelor's Level Degree
Years of Related Experience:5-10 Years
License/Certificate Required:No
Driver's License Required:Yes
Travel Requirements:25%
