About this job

  • Responsible for demand planning, operation and strategic project and planning activities to meet financial and operational inventory goals of the off-price business.
  • Support the long-term continuous expansion and future strategic planning and execution of off-price merchandise.
  • Create strategic plans using data analytics and other tools to implement off-price merchandising and allocation strategy.
  • Provide analysis and research to support the creation of the assortment matrix and buy plans.
  • Work on the business's key and high priority strategic projects to plan and execute end-to-end inventory and merchandising function.
  • Utilize planning systems, reports, local databases, and other house systems to plan, review, and edit assortments and replenishments.
  • Evaluate and approve assortment changes and inventory position to determine site level replenishment.
  • Identify, triage, and escalate issues.
  • Generate in-stock reporting and use reporting to monitor and investigate discrepancies.
  • Review, approve, and execute inventory requests from units.
  • Drive improvement and efficiencies for the team's allocation processes and models.
  • Provide optimal solutions to complex merchandising issues.
  • Guide micro-merchandising strategies to optimally incorporate store demographics into the assortment and allocation process.
  • Develop, track, and critically analyze metrics to measure assortment and allocation effectiveness.
  • Track and report KPIs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to gather analytics, improve strategy and planning, and analyze network and merchandise performance.
  • Ensure the execution of internal and external purchases required to maintain prescribed inventory levels and profiles.
  • Use data analytics, measure, and track key inventory metrics and develop plans to improve and automate existing models and processes to drive efficiency across the network.
  • Manage one to two inventory analysts, supervise, train, and participate in their skill development and training process.
  • Serve as liaison between sales and operations teams to develop concepts and coordinate product knowledge.
  • Provide training and support to new members of the team and aid in providing systems expertise for other users (Buyers, Inventory Analysts).
  • Work with business partners in communicating and resolving issues.


JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Operations Management, or a closely related field.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Candidate must also possess:
  • Demonstrated Expertise ('DE') creating strategic plans to implement an off-price merchandising and allocation strategy in a brick and mortar and digital retail environment.
  • DE working with Third Party Logistics processing teams to fully execute and prepare off-price non-store ready merchandise for supply chain distribution and sale at the store level.
  • DE performing assortment planning and allocations, including creating merchandising strategies incorporating store demographics, historical performance, and input from local marketing plans.
  • DE performing data analytics using Excel including Multi-Conditional statements, Nesting Functions, PivotTables, Lookups, processing, filtering and presenting millions of rows of data, and creating forecasting models in Excel to calculate demand and planning allocations.
  • DE using SQL, Teradata, and Microstrategy to develop solutions for inventory management, sales and analytics reporting.
