About this job

Description

As a Dining Room Attendant (DRA) you add a special touch that is generally unexpected by guests used to other self-selection restaurants. If your job were simply to take dirty dishes away and wipe off tables, we would call you a bus person. You are not. You are a Dining Room Attendant.

As a Dining Room Attendant, your primary responsibility is to interact in a warm, friendly manner with our guests. Greeting them and removing trays within one minute of arrival at their table.

You are constantly moving through the dining room, removing guests' dishes as they finish and looking for service opportunities such as: getting beverage refills, bringing extra napkins or utensils or providing information that will make the guests' experience more enjoyable.

You also are responsible for quickly getting a vacant table ready for another group of guests to use. There are busy times of the day where sometimes guests have to wait in line for a table to become available. We do not want to inconvenience the guest by having tables empty, but dirty, unable for them to use.

Finally you are a clean team player taking pride in your appearance and the appearance of your restaurant. You feel like you are making a positive contribution when you assist other team members in making the guests' experience better than anybody else could offer.
