PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:

To ensure the appropriate documentation of all received merchandise arriving through purchase orders, transfers or customer returns is received and processed in an accurate manner.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

1. Audits receiving worksheets against packing lists to ensure that quantities and item numbers are correct.

2. Works with Merchandising to resolve any problem purchase orders in the Overage, Shortage and Damaged (OSD) areas.

3. Enters data for all vendor requirements as reported by other warehouse personnel.

4. Maintains and updates when necessary all vendor requirement files on site.

5. Faxes all completed vendor required paperwork to the appropriate personnel in the Corporate office.

6. Works with appropriate personnel in the Corporate office to resolve any questioned vendor requirements.

7. Prepares and arranges shipments for return to vendors upon receiving Return Goods Authorizations (RGA).

8. Reports descrepancies on purchase orders to correct personnel so necessary adjustments and follow up is done.

9. Files and maintains all completed purchase orders after processing.

10. Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management.

11. Performs related work as apparent or assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

High School education or equivalent.
At least 1 year of related experience in a distribution center environment.
Ability to work a varied schedule based upon business needs.
Ability to accurately read and match numbers.
At least 6 months experience with AS400 or similar system.
At least 6 months data entry experience.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions and communicate to personnel at all levels.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work in a manner that promotes a safe working environment.
Ability to contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Ability to obtain equipment license or power equipment certification as required.

Ability to stand and walk throughout the facility during required length of the shift.
Frequently required bend, stoop, push and pull objects.

Specific vision abilities include depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to talk and hear.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds on a frequent basis.
Ability to work at heights up to 32 feet.
Ability to operate forklift, motorized pallet jack or other power equipment as necessary.
