Are you currently working with cruise guests? Do you have a customer service background and want to try something new? Metro Cruise Services is seeking candidates to fill part-time openings at Port Everglades as well as Fort Lauderdale and Miami International Airports. Metro Cruise will begin providing turnaround services for Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, and Seabourn Cruise Line in fall 2017.

Pier agents assist guests at the beginning and end of their cruise and and meet guests from all over the world. Agents help guests board transportation to and from the airport, check-in for their cruise, and find their luggage when it's all over.

Airport agents assist guests from all over the world at the beginning and end of their cruise. Agents locate guests at baggage claim, assist with their luggage, and guide them to their ground transportation, either to a hotel or straight to the cruise ship.

This is an upbeat and fun work environment serving happy and excited vacationers, often on the trip of a lifetime! 

 

PURPOSE:

Provide world class customer service in all areas for the cruise lines Metro Cruise represents. Strive to exceed guest expectations by delivering a smooth beginning and end to their vaciation.

 

SCHEDULE & HOURS:

Schedules vary week-to-week based on the ship arrival patterns. The busiest days are Saturday and Sundays. Most shifts are 5-8 hours, starting as early as 6am and finishing by 4pm. All positions are part-time, generally 1-3 days per week. The schedule is highly seasonal, starting in September 2017 with limited shifts available during the summer months.

   DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide excellent customer service to cruise line guests. 
  • Greet each guest with a warm smile while maintaining a professional and positive demeanor.
  • Listen to guest questions; respond, and resolve appropriately.
  • Communicate clearly with guests and co-workers.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures including arriving on-time and in uniform to all scheduled shifts.
  • Complete tasks as assigned each day.
  • Remain flexible and willing to adapt to schedule or position modifications at the request of any on-site supervisor.
  • Review guest travel documents and proof of citizenship to ensure compliance with U.S. and international law.
  • Accurately complete computerized guest check-in on laptops.
  QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: At least 1 year of customer service experience.
  REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to stand constantly for the entire shift.
  • Pier only: Must be able to perform basic functions on a laptop computer.
  • Airport only: Must be able to lift luggage (up to 60 lb) and push luggage carts.

 

The wage for pier and airport agents is $9.50/hour.
