Providence is calling a Clinical Support Clerk to Providence Office Park in Portland, OR.
In this position, you will:
* Provide clerical support to the Homes Services teams (which include Home Health, Infusion, Speciality Pharmacy and DME.
* Maintain and operate all office equipment, screens and answers questions efficiently and effectively.
* Duties that may include: processing of faxed records requests, performing data entry of EOB's and other billing information into computer systems and programs, reporting statistical data, and other support functions for the Home Services teams.
Required qualifications for this position include:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Good command of English (oral and written)
* Extensive knowledge of medical terminology
* In compliance with the Providence Health & Services-OR Human Resources policy #302 "Background Checks", a criminal background check is required for this position, based on assigned duties
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
* 1 year experience with insurance verification, medical claims processing, insurance member enrollment or customer service
* Excellent organizational skills
* Ability to multi task in a fast paced work environment with frequent interruptions
* Educational course work in medical terminology or equivalent work experience
* Working knowledge of Excel, Outlook
