St Peter's Addiction Recovery Center in Guilderland has an opening for a full-time RN position, day shift,at the SPARC Guilderland Rehab (a 40 bed drug & alcohol rehab program).
Responsibilities include receive and orient new patient admissions, medication administration, coordinating patient care as needed with other medical and psychiatry staff. Process lab orders, interact with pharmacy in obtaining & verifying patient medications. Documenting care in patient records. Work in conjunction with multi-disciplinary team including physicians, nurse practitioners, chemical dependency counselors, social workers, and case managers.
Requirements:
* Current NYS Nursing license required.
* Experience working in an addiction or behavioral related field preferred but not required.
* Knowledge of working with community agencies and managed care representatives is desired.
* Experience working with a diverse population and a strong understanding of multicultural issues is preferred.
