About this job
Provides direct/ indirect patient care in the OB setting under the direction of the RN. Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to the OB patient. Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the licensed nurse. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, staff and medical staff. Prepares and compiles records for the OB Department. Assists surgeon during Cesarean Section. Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for Cesarean Section.
Must be willing and available to participate in call rotation.
Training commensurate with Nursing Assistant certification and Current NA I listing card with the NC Division of Facility Services required. One year experience in a health care setting, preferred. Secretarial experience, preferred. CPR according to CCH policy. Basic computer skills. Able to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations. Able to work on smoke-free campus.
