POSITION SUMMARY
The Endoscopy Technician performs under the supervision of an RN. Demonstrates progressive growth in ability to perform independent of an orienteer. Demonstrates knowledge of the standards of practice required of an Endoscopy Technician and physician preferences necessary to provide quality patient care. Demonstrates ability to use instruments and equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and to perform assist the physician during Endoscopy procedures. This position services the following populations: neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Work requires a high school diploma or equivalence.
2. Work requires learning sterilizing and equipment set up for procedures, basic aseptic principles, surgical operative physiology and surgical techniques through 3-months on the job training provided by Bon Secours.
3. Maintains current basic Life Support Certification.
