The Accounting/Office Manager serves as right-hand person to the Controller, with diverse office responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, self-motivated, team player that will manage all aspects of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Reconciliation of Accounts, G/L, Month End Closing, Preparation of Financial Statements, and Produce Daily, Weekly and Monthly reporting for owners. Work directly with management to monitor and control all aspects of accounting.The ideal candidate should have the following qualities and skills:* Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting plus formal accounting training.* Experience with A/R, A/P, Payroll and taxes, Collections, Business Taxes and Financial Statements.* Must possess good fundamental understanding in all facets of accounting and be proficient in any computerized bookkeeping system.* Should have good understanding of spread sheets and preferably graphical spreadsheets.* Must have prior experience with "QuickBooks" using QuickBooks Pro or above versions.* Highly organized and attention to detail oriented* Excellent oral and written communication skills with customers/vendors and management* Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel* Must be able to work quickly but accurately, clean and complete -- no loose ends.* Must meet deadlines.* Goal oriented, self motivated, hard worker adaptable & flexible* Willingness to work in other aspects of businessSpecific responsibilities are as follows, but not limited to:* Supervision of other support staff* Human resources and payroll systems* Office supplies and equipment* Accounts receivable/accounts payable* Enter accounts receivable and accounts payable into database.* Monitor finance, accounting, budgeting, expenses and cost control procedures.* Prepare weekly payroll for, and call/web based submission into Payroll Company.* Monitors supply, equipment and/or services ordering and inventory control.* Provide day-to-day supervision, including workload management, and fostering a cooperative work environment.* Help Vice President of Operations with other projects, which may include research, analysis, and/or implementation.* Perform other duties as assigned.Physical Demands and Working Conditions* Must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.* Anticipated hours 8:00- 4:30 PM, with some flex time to accommodate after-hours requirements, such as meetings and special events.Qualifications:Skills and Experience* 5+ years' experience in administrative support, including accounting and budgeting systems.* Ability to multi-task, attention to detail, and enter data accurately.* Efficiency and strong organizational skills.* Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and QuickBooks and above versions.* Excellent communication skills: ability to interact well with staff, customers, vendors, and others.* Ability to learn quickly, including complex software.Education* College education or 5+ years' work experience related to the above-mentioned duties.Personal Qualities:* Respect for confidentiality.* Friendly and professional manner.* Enthusiasm and energy.* Interest in teamwork and social interaction.* Self-motivation combined with a willingness to take direction.* Willingness to be flexible, adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.Compensation/Benefits:* Comprehensive Benefits Package (Health, Dental, Paid Vacation, etc.)* Opportunity for advancement for the right candidate.* Equal Opportunity Employer
