Whelan Security is looking for a talented and driven leader to supervise our safety and security program in Washington, DC!
The Incident Response/ Management Specialist will o perate under limited supervision and providing administrative/logistical support to the Corporate Security and Resiliency organization, the candidate will maintain updates to the Incident Management Plan. These will include updates to the core documentation and business unit liaison-specific information, and other changes as needed or requested. The candidate will also assist in the creation and execution of drills and exercises to test the readiness of the Incident Management Team (IMT) and various business units. The applicant will ensure that all copies of the IMT Manual, including both print copies and digital copies stored on assigned USB thumb drives, are updated and secured properly. This effort will require coordinating directly with the Incident Response Program Manager, with possible travel to customer facilities in Reston and Urbana.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have at least 05+ years of relevant experience. Candidates must demonstrate a stable work history and pass an extensive background screening which includes, but is not limited to, criminal background checks (local, state, and federal), drug test, aptitude tests, skills assessments, interviews, past employment verification, and a personality profile (behavioral assessment).

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Project and SharePoint)
- Excellent oral and written interpersonal communication skills
