Pipe Fabricator - Full-time / Part-time

Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Pipe Fabricator for a 3+ month contract opportunity in Warminster, PA with our partner, a global leader in power and automation technologies.

Job Description

• Responsible for all operations involved in making couplings for pipe.
• Set-up coupling lathes and related equipment to different sizes according to specifications and production schedule.
• Assist operators in adjusting equipment to produce products within specification.
• Checks parts for dimensions. Ability to handle t-drill machine, beveler machines.
• Completes all quality control checks to insure that all products meet quality standard and are within tolerances specified.

Skills

• HS Diploma/GED
• 1+ year fabrication or assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must be able to pass pre-employment machine testing given by testing provider.
• Frequently lifting or moving average weight material. Occasionally lifting heavy weight material.
• Employee may travel to factory location in Louisiana for additional training upon hire
• Must be willing to train and learn a variety of operations and work on these operations as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Two year degree or technical certificate from an accredited institution or 3+ yrs up to and including 5 years’ experience in fabricating, fusing, cutting, and measuring.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints/drawings for fabrication.
• Basic mathematics, read and understand drawings and specifications.
• Able to use and read proper quality control instruments.
• Be self-motivated, communicate well and have the willingness and adaptability to work under varying conditions.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language
• Must be willing to learn to operate/ program CNC pipe cutting equipment

• This is a 3+ month contract.
