Ritz True North: Product Sales Specialist – Winter Seasonal – FT / PT – Northstar, CA

 

The Product Sales Specialist at the Ritz True North is responsible for reservations, sales, retail, rentals and all additional skier services fulfilled out of the location.  This position and store front is located at The Ritz-Carlton, and requires a passion for providing the Gold Standard in Guest Service. We are looking for upbeat professionals who are positive, outgoing, operate with a high level of computer proficiency, have a passion for the outdoors, are well disciplined, and take pride in their work.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently process lift access products, adult and children ski school product, including private and semi-private lessons.
  • Comfortable with requesting guest information and data required to complete transactions
  • Comfortable and confident dealing with families, kids, and their parents while creating a fun and engaging atmosphere
  • Ability to learn, understand and effectively communicate with the guest about multiple product types and easily adapt to changing pricing and product offerings
  • Make suitable recommendations on products to meet the guests’ needs and business objective goals
  • Ability to handle high volume of customer interaction while delivering exceptional service; internal & external
  • Create a fun and professional work experience while communicating in a courteous and respectful manner
  • Professionally assist and follow through with resolution of guest complaints; communicate concerns and provide management with suggestions
  • Perform daily sales/closing procedures, responsible for end of day transaction and cash audit
  • Work on a computer with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
  • Must be able to interact with and engage the guest while working on a computer at the same time
  • Follow company/department policies and procedures
  • Participate in resort and departmental trainings and development courses
  • Willing to cross-train and work in all areas/locations of PSS
  • Take initiative to perform duties which facilitate operations and maintain cleanliness of your work area while paying attention to detail
  • Promote and embrace Vail Resort’s Mission and Values; provide a safe work environment; implement Vail Resort’s mountain service essentials, strategies, policies and procedures
  • Work closely with Vail Resorts Retail and The Ritz-Carlton.  Actively learn all facets of business including the rental process, retail sales, and The Ritz-Carlton brand
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient on Microsoft applications and/or POS software
  • Ability to communicate fluently and effectively in English
  • Typing skills with an emphasis on data collection
  • Ability to answer questions and speak intelligently about all resort products
  • Fun, outgoing personality traits
  • Take timeliness and deliverable tasks seriously
  • Cash handling experience
  • Ability to develop a quick rapport with high end clientele
  • Ability to stay calm in busy and stressful situations
  • Must be at least 18 years of age, or 16 years of age with a work permit

 

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience with (resort) POS software
  • Experienced and/or conversational in a foreign language
  • Previous guest service experience
  • College Degree
  • Outdoor Enthusiasts
