The  position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Bell/Valet team and ensuring all Arrabelle standards are met.  This will include the responsibility of overseeing the safe and efficient relocation of guest’s automobiles to designated parking locations.  The Bell Captain is also responsible for ensuring the timely delivery and retrieval of guest’s luggage by all team members.  This position will assign and instruct Bell/Valet team members in details of work, observe/assist in performance and encourage adherence to standard operating procedures.  The Captain is also responsible for bell training and performance management.

  • Oversee the timely & safe delivery and retrieval of any and all luggage, amenities, faxes, letters, newspapers, boxes and various items to the guest rooms.
  • Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, and ethics in dealing both with guests, co-workers and subordinates.
  • Handle confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity.
  • Post jobs, interview candidates and determine best hire for available positions. 
  • Evaluate performance of active employees as well as provide periodic employee reviews.
  • Train all incoming employees on procedures in regards to all bell/valet duties.
  • Provide employee training in regards to all job related driving duties.
  • Respond to inquiries with accurate information regarding hours of operation, directions to local attractions and restaurants, hotel spaces  according to guest needs. 
  • Oversee and effectively deal with all guest issues as they occur and resolve the issues to a satisfactory outcome.
  • Manage pertinent employee information within Peoplesoft.
  • Managing the property parking logistics, and providing team with appropriate steps of preparation for timely and accurate placement and retrieval of guests vehicles.
  • Attend / schedule departmental meetings, pre-cons, and other meetings as required.
  • Ensure recycling efforts and environmental initiatives are met.
  • Other duties as assigned.
