You will be responsible for maintaining plant/manufacturing equipment cleanliness and operation of sanitation equipment and chemicals. Keeps the building clean including floors and walls to meet and exceed the company and industry standards.
Duties Include:
While there are a variety of job duties associated with this position, the crew members would normally perform only one job duty at a time. They would complete this task and then rotate into another job duty. During the shift, the employee may perform several of the job duties listed below.
- Load and unload cleaning equipment.
- Disassemble manufacturing equipment as needed prior to cleaning/sanitizing equipment.
- Reassemble equipment according to manufacturing SSOP standards following cleaning/sanitizing process.
- Read/Perform Sanitation procedures as listed on SSOP; aware of SSOP processes including Safety and Sanitation Procedures.
- Follow Master cleaning schedule as assigned by Sanitation Manager including specific cleaning duties in Production areas, Warehouse area, Sinkrooms, Packaging, and equipment.
- Perform tasks on Daily, Weekly, Monthly, 6 Month, and Yearly Master Cleaning Schedules as needed.
- Operate equipment and use chemicals following proper procedures with special emphasis on safety and proper storage of chemicals.
- Wash equipment, restrooms, and production sinks, including restocking paper towels, soap, and other consumables.
- Clean all types of floors including the production floor with hoses, chemicals, and floor scrubber and office area floors with a mop.
- Maintain general Bakery building cleanliness including windows, vents and doors.
- Responsible for handling trash disposal in Bakery including food waste, non-food waste, and cardboard recycling and emptying trash bins in break room and office areas.
- Clean the office areas including R&D and QA lab.
- Responsible for monitoring and following all food safety and quality procedures outlined in SQF requirements.
- Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Accountable for understanding Legendary Baking Vision, uses guidelines of Legendary Baking’s Values and Culture while working.
- Follow all established departmental/company rules and regulations, including but not limited to work, safety, house keeping, uniform, and security rules. Responsible to follow security protocol and report any suspicious activity and/or security violations.
Requirements:
- Complete SQF certification.
- Fulfill your scheduled work hours with reasonable consistency as outlined in the attendance policy.
- Must be able to operate power equipment (i.e., power scrubber, pallet jack).
- Must be able to work with little supervision.
- Must be able to pass all company and industrial sanitation training.
- Must have ability to follow written and oral directions in English.
- Must have ability to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely.
- Must have ability to stand up to 8-hours minimum and 12-hours maximum.
- Must have strong hand/eye coordination.
- Must have organizational skills.
- Ability to work well with people, be polite and be team work oriented.
