The Rental Technician will elevate the guest experience by guiding our guests through the ski and snowboard rental process and properly fitting our guests with their equipment needs.  In addition to ensuring guests understand how to safely and properly use equipment, the Rental Technician will perform daily maintenance of equipment and facilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver an enthusiastic and professional level of customer service at all times
• Must be able to perform all aspects of the rental process from start to finish including fitting boots, adjusting skis and setting up of snowboards as well as the return of equipment at the end of the day
• Explain to guests how to operate rental equipment along with safety practices and guest responsibility including length of rental and return options
• Ensure equipment on the rental line is ready to make a successful rental by cleaning, servicing and testing according to established service requirement.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies and attending regular safety meetings
• Ensure that the rental shop remains clean by vacuuming, and other light housekeeping duties
• Consistently follow the guidelines and steps of the services cycle as outlined in the brand standards
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of current equipment and products
• Responsible for various administrative duties; such as conducting inventory, nightly reports and paperwork.
• Protect company assets through loss prevention techniques
• Manage inventory control
• Perform other duties as required

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• HS Diploma or GED Equivalent - Preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age – Required
• Experience in a retail/rental environment or equivalent relevant experience - Preferred
• Basic computer skills with ability to learn
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule; including nights, holidays and weekends - Required
• Possess superior attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and be safety conscious
• Basic rental equipment trouble-shooting knowledge - Preferred
• Adequate knowledge to inspect and test simple tools and equipment – Preferred
• Ability to meet physical demands of the position including:  Stand for extended periods of time, bending, lifting and carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
