Description

Responsible for the Maintenance Department Operations, ensuring company standards are adhered to. Duties are inclusive of preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance.

Key responsibilities include:

* Overseeing the overall maintenance operation of the hotel, ensuring a quality asset with rooms and public spaces in working order.

* Maintaining the exterior of the building, parking lot, common areas and all guests spaces.

* Conduct safety and training meetings, as needed; partner effectively with internal departments and external vendors to continuously deliver a clean, well-functioning, "meets expectations" product to our guests.

* Training, motivation development, and review of all engineering staff.-Ensure fulfillment of preventative maintenance program to specific brand standards.

* Check Smoke Alarms throughout hotel on a scheduled basis according to brand standards.

* Ensure routine preventive maintenance on equipment is done. This is including, but not limited to laundry equipment, heating, and air condition units, ice machines, fire extinguishers, fire/smoke alarms, fire equipment and plumbing. These are performed as required by the manufacturer and in accordance with the warranty specifications.

* Ensure swimming pool duties are performed according to manufacturer specifications and local Health Department Regulations-Develop, recommend, implement and manage the department's budget capital expenditure plan, forecasts and objectives consistent with management's expectations.

* Controls inventory/ordering of parts and materials.

* Perform other task as requested from General Manager

Requirement:

* Prefer 3 Years Hotel Chief Engineer Experience (or similar operation)-Hands on experience in basic HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical

* Must have strong skills in leadership, communications, and customer service
