LGC Associates partners with public schools in the Denver Metro area and are currently looking for Food and Nutrition Services personnel to work in cafeterias throughout Denver, South Denver and Aurora. Current openings are part-time but can develop into longer-term, full-time opportunities for outstanding candidates.

 

Job Description:

Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele through preparation and delivery of daily meals. Shifts are offered Monday-Friday during regular school hours—perfect for mothers with children in school and individuals with PM jobs seeking supplementary income!

 

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.

-Assists in preparation and delivery of food in accordance with food safety guidelines.

-Serves food with a smile to students, faculty, staff and school visitors.

-Basic daily cleaning of the kitchen and service areas.

-Operates, cleans, and sanitizes food service equipment, pots, pans, and utensils.

-Assists in cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and storerooms at regularly scheduled intervals as designated by the manager.

-Cash handling/register duties.

-Entering orders on POS or similar food ordering computer system.

-Communicates effectively in both verbal and written form.

-Follows all HACCP Plan mandates including completing checklists and following standard operating procedures.

 

Education and Experience

-High School or GED Certificate preferred.

-1-2 years of food experience preferred.

 

Physical Abilities

-Ability to perform repetitive bending, reaching, and pulling.

-Ability to exert moderate physical effort (must be able to lift up to 45 pounds).-Ability to withstand temperature variations.

-Ability to perform prolonged standing/walking.

-Possesses eye/hand coordination for register and computer operations.

-Ability to work in a noisy environment.

-Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen
