Position Summary:
• The Director of Allocation directs all aspects of the organization's merchandise allocation objectives and initiatives. Participates in the development of strategies/processes that support the company and collaborates with internal business partners to maintain quality, consistency and improve allocation execution.

• Oversee execution of allocation strategies that support and relate to business priorities and underlying financial and/or merchandising strategies.

• In partnership with Manager and Planning & Allocation leadership, develop innovative recommendations for allocation to support the off price model.

• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional partners- Location Planning, Merchandising, and Supply Chain.

• Grow and maintain effective partnerships with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best practices, and develop systems knowledge.

• Actively participate in selection of new college graduates to strengthen the bench, supporting the Planning & Allocation organization.

• Manage the performance, training, and development of the Allocation team, with a focus on building bench strength.

• Key participant in continual improvement of new processes and technology.

• Provides direct support and coaching to Allocation Managers as they help their direct reports through transition and career development.
• Be an ambassador of Our Burlington and model core values.

• Enhance associate engagement by soliciting feedback and addressing opportunities; identify and develop/ retain top talent.

Supervision:
Number of employees supervised: Direct: 6 Allocation Managers Indirect: 50 plus

Scope and Impact:
This position oversees Allocations for all 6 Merchandising Divisions and interacts with all levels in the organization. Partnerships with Buying, Planning, Supply Chain, and DC teams are critical.




Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree

Experience:
• 7 to 10 or more years of previous Merchandising, Planning, and Allocation experience required.
• A minimum of 7 to 10 years in supervisory roles.
• A minimum of 2-3 years leading large organizations of indirect reports.
• Previous experience with allocation merchandising systems, preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Office, specifically MS Excel.

Physical Requirements:
