Summary of Job: Food and beverage supervisors are responsible for the daily operation of food and beverage locations throughout the resort. Supervisors oversee all issues pertaining to the guest’s dining experience including, but not limited to, quality controls, staffing levels, inventories, food preparation and service, health and safety regulations, and equipment maintenance. Adhering to all policies, guidelines, and procedures to make an outstanding experience for all guests and employees.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensures that all employees receive the training, support, guidance, feedback, and resources necessary to fulfill job requirements.
  • Responsible for providing quality guest experiences within resort operations.
  • Ability to delegate responsibility, motivate, and lead direct reports to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Direct staff in meeting quality standards for food handling and preparation, safety and sanitation.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the buildings.
  • Ensure all coolers, freezers, and walk-in coolers are maintained at the companies and health inspectors’ food safety standards and HAACP standards, including daily log of refrigerator and freezer temperatures.
  • Create daily preparation lists, cleaning, opening and closing lists for team.
  • Maintain knowledge of restaurant policies regarding personnel and ability to administer prompt, fair, and consistent corrective action for any, and all, violations of company policies, rules, and procedures.
  • Responsible for helping cashiers with banks, making deposits, and the paperwork associated with it.
  • Adhere to all policies, rules, regulations in both food service and alcohol management.
  • Adhere to all policies, rules, and regulations of Vail Resorts and Afton Alps.
  • Create and maintain a productive and safe work environment, including implementing and retaining all company mandated safety-related training and assessments.
  • Ensure all F&B and golf locations are clean, have updated materials, and present a professional appearance to our guests, staff, and purveyors.
  • Develop, adhere to, and role model the company’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Food and beverage experience, with at least two years in a supervisory role.  
  • POS (IG) proficiency
  • Certified Slip Resistant shoes are required prior to starting work. Shoes must be provided by the employee.
  • Preferred Skills- Strong ability to train employees and set service standards.
  • Professionalism and strong guest service skills, attention to detail and timeliness.
  • Flexible schedule required during peak times throughout the year.  Must be willing to work evenings, holidays and weekends – Required.
