Providence Medical Group is calling a Credentialed Medical Assistant to our Professional Plaza in Portland, OR. This position will be primarily supporting neurology patients.
The schedule for this positon is full time, Monday trhough Friday.
In this position, you will:
* Work closely with a team of staff including physicians and advanced level providers to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care.
* Assist with exams and procedures, administer medications, and perform tests under the supervision of a licensed medical provider.
Required qualifications for this position include:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Completion of an accredited medical assistant (MA) program
* Credentialing through a nationally recognized medical assistant program such as American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
* If not currently credentialed, this position will require successfully obtaining Medical Assistant Certification within 60 days from date of hire
* Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for the Healthcare Provider
* 6 months of recent experience working as a medical assistant
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
* Some college
* Epic experience
