What you will do:

The Pei Wei Brand Manager will lead the thinking, strategy development and execution for business/brand building initiatives.  He/she will be responsible for specific brand areas that could include innovation, core main dish, salads, beverages, desserts, appetizers.  He/she would also oversee a daypart (lunch or dinner) and a mode of service (dine in or carry out). This key leader will have significant influence over project/company direction, leveraging relationships with key internal stakeholders (operations, culinary, finance) and external partners (agency, research suppliers etc) to achieve project success, which always include driving profitable transaction growth.

  • Develop the strategy and lead execution of brand/business-building programs in his/her areas of responsibility.  This includes developing a business case and ensuring consumer, operations, and financial targets are achieved, identifying resources required, seizing the opportunity and aligning key stakeholders. 
  • Lead agency partners and internal colleagues in quality implementation of campaigns supporting Pei Wei strategic platforms including:
    • Lead brief development and briefing with agency/internal creatives
    • Lead delivery of creative ideas and alignment of CMO/CEO.
    • Collaborate with Digital Content/Community Manager to deliver consistent/impactful/and engaging on-line content across all digital channels
    • Supervise agency planning and execution of media investments
    • Lead in-house creative team to delivery of on-strategy in-restaurant merchandising elements
    • Ensure all programming is delivered on budget
  • Lead test marketing of significant initiatives including market selection, assist in training prep, monitoring and reporting and development of a “go/no go” recommendation for national launch.
Requirements

What you need:

  • Undergraduate degree in Communications, Business or Marketing required, MBA preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in brand marketing
  • Experience analyzing program/project/product/promotion profitability, incremantality, and cannibalization.
  • Experience leading with cross functional teams and external creative partners.
  • Prefer experience in retail food but will consider candidates with non-retail food (CPG) or non-food retail experience.

Working Conditions:

  • Overnight travel up to 30% of the time
