POSITION TITLE: District Manager POSITION OVERVIEW:* The District Manager reports directly to the Regional Director of Stores* Ensures financial objectives of sales, payroll and controllable expenses including shrink in district stores are met.* Responsible for compliance of company policies and procedures in district stores.* Must be a role model and leader; must solve problems, make informed decisions and manage the workforce and time wisely in order to achieve maximum results.* The District Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service throughout their stores.* Committed to continuously improving our work place.JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:* Responsible for top-line and comparative stores sales growth.* Recruit, hire, train and develop high performing Area Managers and Store Management Teams.* Coach and motivate Store Management; evaluate performance and initiate promotions and transfers.* Accountable for the consistent merchandising standards in all stores in the district.* Ensure operational excellence which includes markdown compliance, timely freight processing and payroll control.* Maximize productivity through use of labor management tools and operational best practices.* Ensure stores facility maintenance needs are being identified and maintained on a regular basis.* Direct, adhere and insure compliance to applicable laws, regulations, and company values and code of conduct.* Oversee physical inventory preparation and execution.* Analyze marketing potential of new and existing locations as well as recommend new sites.* Coordinate and ensure execution of new store openings, relocations and closures.* Communicate effectively with stores, supervisors, Corporate Office personnel, peers and customers. * Any other tasks or duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:* Results driven* Able to analyze financial data* Champions change* Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner and listen attentively to others* Able to establish priorities, multi-task and manage time wisely in a fast-paced, growth environment* Bachelor's degree or 5 years multi-store management experience* Computer proficient* Must be willing to travel
