Position Summary:
Supports the Quality Manager with all ISO and Food Safety related documentation, tasks, and compliance. Supervises the Quality Technicians daily activities to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products and processes.
Essential Functions:
1. Maintains all documentation related to ISO and Food Safety programs.
2. Oversees the daily activity of the Quality Technicians.
3. Oversees the documentation of supplier and customer complaints and relays relevant information to Quality Management.
4. Works with the quality personnel to identify; isolate and trouble shoot quality related concerns.
5. Implements methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
6. Ensures that corrective and preventive actions regarding quality have been implemented.
7. Maintains a clean, safe, and productive work environment.
Marginal Functions:
1. Directs production line staff to stop production based on Quality related issues.
2. Provides feedback to other line workers regarding Quality issues.
3. Strives for continuous improvements in production process.
Job Specifications:
1. Two or more years' experience working with and/or maintaining an ISO or Food Safety program.
2. High school diploma or equivalent, one to two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
3. Prior quality experience in a fast paced production environment, preferred.
4. Ability to work under pressure and follow specific instructions thoroughly and accurately.
5. Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
6. Pays attention to detail and a proven problem solver.
7. Ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures.
8. Good understanding of ruler, calipers and thickness gauge.
