Job Purpose: The primary role of the HR Administrator is to handle Human Resource administration for given geographic location(s). Support will include payroll and benefit administration, recruiting, conflict resolution, assistance with performance management, general HR counsel, and other assigned administrative duties. Job Responsibilities: * Administers HR policies and procedures. * Answers associate questions and resolves routine problems. * Monitors time and attendance and other reports, and makes adjustments as required. * Assists in recruiting efforts by attending internal/external recruiting functions, coordinating all pre-employment screening, applicant interviews, setting up drug screening and physicals, administering tests, entering new associates in systems, and conducting orientations. * Maintains and administers changes to associate information using appropriate systems. * Maintains records required by State and Federal employment laws and Sears policies. * Maintains employment files and records per company policy and legal regulations. * Promotes the Sears as a compelling place to work. * Occasional travel required for additional training/development/enrichment. * Maintains confidentiality. * Serve as resource for questions / administration * Monitors and updates ISO preventative and corrective actions as required. * Carries out various Staff Level responsibilities. * Follows all applicable ISO procedures, work instructions and forms. * Must work to achieve all company and/or unit and/or district metrics. * Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

This includes maintaining effective interactions with others under stressful working conditions * Ability to accept additional responsibilities and to be held accountable for their completion/resolution * Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, management, or customer one-on-one or in a small or large group setting * Ability to handle multiple task and maintain deadlines * Ability to generate alternative solutions when faced with a problem, evaluates the consequences of choosing each alternative, and selects the most promising alternative * Must be able to effectively communicate with Sears associates Experience/Education/Certification Requirements: * High school diploma or G.E.D. required * One year HR experience preferred * Prior experience and knowledge of internet based applications * Experience and aptitude with computers and basic software applications including spreadsheets Required Job Competencies: * Must be able to be open to change and the ability to effectively implement change quickly * Ability to work with minimal supervision * Follow specific process steps to ensure quality workmanship * Effective time management skills * Accept responsibility for work assignments and job duties and to be held accountable for their successful completion * Proficient in computer systems and standard software applications * Outstanding customer service skills * Must be able to effectively communicate and discuss issues with Sears associates * Excellent communication skills both verbal and written * Ability to incorporate the views of coworkers and customers with different perspectives * Must be able to convey a positive image of the company in all actions and behaviors * Must be able to work well with others in a team environment to deliver high performance results
