Summary of Job:  

Share your passion of winter sports.  The Entry Lift Operator position will provide an experience of a lifetime to all guests throughout their skiing and riding experience.  He/she will be responsible for safe operations at the chairlift while providing the highest standard of guest services.  Some responsibilities include preparing and maintaining the load and unloading areas at your assigned chairlift on a daily basis.  Perform opening, closing, and operating procedures.  Must enjoy working with guests and coworkers.  Through the role of Entry Lift Operator position you have the opportunity to invoke the passion of snow sports to our guests and others.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist all guests in safely loading, riding, and unloading of the chairlifts.
  • Provide a high quality guest experience by continually making positive contact with our guests to enhance their visit at our resort.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, policies, and best practices while operating a chairlift.
  • Anticipate the needs of the guest, department, and equipment while reacting to those needs in the safest manner while maintaining the highest standard of guest service.
  • Maintain professionalism when handling guest inquiries and complaints.
  • Assist in snow removal, daily setup and routine maintenance of lift areas.
  • Maintain maze and low clearance ropes at the lift stations.
  • Maintain safe loading and unloading areas using the proper tools.
  • Work with lift maintenance, ski patrol, and the resort management to assist with any issues with guests or the mountain.
  • Perform any other duties requested by the operation manager.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age - Required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent - Required
  • Must enjoy working outdoors in adverse weather conditions - Required
  • Must be available nights, weekends and holidays - Required
  • A positive work ethic and enthusiastic attitude is essential - Required
  • Customer service experience - Preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Polish) - Preferred

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to handle exposure to inclement weather.
  • Must be able to walk long distances through challenging terrain.
  • Bending, lifting, and squatting are required throughout a shift.
  • Long periods of standing are required
