Summary of Job: A busser is responsible for ensuring all resort guests have the highest quality food and beverage dining experience possible through professional and gracious service. He/she is also responsible for identifying all sanitation and aesthetic maintenance of chalet dinging areas, ensuring that all tables, fixtures, and interior design elements are maintained throughout the course of his/her shift.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Setting up and clearing tables.
  • Assisting in the service of food and beverage as needed for the guest.
  • Maintain and replenish condiments, napkins, silverware, soda, candy, chips, etc. as needed.
  • Daily cleanup of the restaurant including, but not limited to, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping.
  • Adhere to recycle program guidelines. Including, but not limited to, organics, recycling, and trash sorting and removal.
  • Help educate guests about organics, recycling, and trash sorting.
  • Assist support cleaning when needed.
  • Adhere to all policies, rules, and regulations of Vail Resorts and Afton Alps.
  • Assist other departments, as needed.
  • Adhere to and role model the company’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Must be 14 years of age or older.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to ensure: teamwork, high level guest contact, and commitment to guest service.
  • Certified Slip Resistant shoes are required prior to starting work. Shoes must be provided by the employee.
  • Must demonstrate ability to receive direction and act upon it.
  • Flexible schedule required during peak times throughout the year.  Must be willing to work evenings, holidays and weekends.
