Sales Associate / Cashier - FT & PT - Winter Seasonal - Park City Resort

Sales Associates/Cashiers are responsible for generating sales by establishing professional and personalized rapport with customers and delivering world-class guest service. They must possess in-depth knowledge of products, sales concepts, practices and procedures. Prior experience, skills and training are required to perform successfully at this level. May train new and existing associate positions. 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Greet guests with a welcoming, friendly, and outgoing attitude
• Serve customers by establishing rapport, building customer confidence, providing accurate information, and promoting product through point of successful sale
• Establish professional, personalized rapport with customers in person and over the phone
• Answer all questions, providing detailed information, and establishing trust with customers to help close sales
• Approach and reapproach customers to maximize sales
• Describe and promote products in line with customer's express needs as well as promoting purchase of related products
• Use POS software to efficiently complete sales and exhibit accurate cash handling skills
• Unpack boxes and stock store with merchandise
• Promote extended warranty/maintenance agreements, parts and accessories purchase
• Provide light cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal
• May train new and existing associates.

• Ability to connect with guests with an outgoing, friendly attitude
• Team-oriented and responsible
• Enthusiasm regarding and orientation to Patagonia mission, company, and product - required
• Familiarity with Patagonia product - preferred
• Avid outdoorsperson with an understanding of the technical requirement for quality backcountry clothing - highly preferred
• Maintain a working knowledge of products and trends within the industry
• Previous retail sales experience - required
• Ability to communicate fluently with co-workers and guests in accurate spoken and written English - required
• Basic computer skills - required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule; including nights, holidays and weekends - required
