About this job



Examine and review inventory variants calls records and bills of materials etc. for accuracy and ensure cost data is correct and allocated correctly


Prepare analysis of cost reports and audits in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with Company policies and procedures


Work with the team to improve accounting procedures and controls


Assist with physical inventories and outside audits as required


Provide timely and accurate accounting support as required for the following monthly reconciliations monthly costing processes, maintenance of standard cost, month-end financial closing


Perform Ad Hoc reporting as needed or required


Quickly gain an understanding of job calls and process calls for operations and decision support processes


Update/maintain process documentation including accounting policies and procedures


Assist with internal control reviews, including documentation, to ensure effective financial controls


Review and update standard an actual cost as required


Assist in identifying and driving best in class process improvement strategies


Lead/direct projects or special initiatives as needed


Effectively communicate and interact across departments and levels of leadership


Interface with operations, manufacturing sub-plants in purchasing on inventories and costing


Develop, implement, and/or maintain product calls processes while supporting the product costing area of business


Provide financial oversight of engineering change processes, integrate/evaluate impact of design change on cost and expenses, and develop procedures for management of these cost


Support system calls and implement changes as required to adhere to best practices


Maintain a product called smile software utilized in a new product development and drive improvements within. Experience with a prior is preferred


Analyze bill of material structure and coordinate efforts to implement any changes/adjustments required


Coordinate efforts to implement solutions to improve organizational performance and transparency related to product costing


Organize, direct and/or lead team effort to improve procedures and controls with minimal to no supervision
Perform other duties and special projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Engineering is required
  • Four to six years of accounting, finance and/or relevant experience with exposure to costing/bill of material structure and experience is preferred
  • Demonstrate working understanding of cost principles, Commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Possess the ability to perform a variety of tasks under minimal to no supervision
  • Must be detailed oriented and possess good organizational skills
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to prioritize task to meet deadlines timely, efficiently and effectively
  • Possess strong data analytical and validation skills
  • Proven ability to work well with others
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office, including Excel, and Access or other database knowledge
  • Possess an advanced working knowledge of computerized accounting systems and manufacturing process flow
  • Possess the strong ability to analyze and organize daily activities to support the organization in a timely and efficient manner
  • Must be able to organize, lead and execute team efforts in a time-sensitive environment to maximize results
  • Must be able to carry out job requirements at an elevated level of accuracy
  • Must possess a strong internal drive to provide exceptional customer service for internal and external customers
  • Must possess the ability to perform and make decisions at a high level of independence
