Staffmark is in partnership with a Global Metals Company located in Santa Fe Springs. We have temp to hire Chemical Treatment Operator position available. Experience pay's $16.00-$17.00
Job duties:
Is directly responsible for the precious metal being worked on.
Perform material tracking as related to specific processes.
Participate in end of shift turnovers with ability to effectively communicate in English.
Ability to wear required PPE including respirators.
Ability to operate and maintain equipment to company standards and safety standards.
Must operate equipment (for example, pumps, GLV's, filter presses, pan filters, reactors, valves, pH probes, ovens, forklifts, etc) in a reasonable and self-sustaining manner.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· High School Diploma
1 to 3 years experience in basic chemical operations or related experience required. This is not an entry-level position.
Ideal Candidate:
prior batch mixing liquid or solids
manual ph testing
more manual processing with some automation
forklift experience
reactor size 200-500 galloons
scale weighing
PLC experience- heating/cooling reactions
