Experienced Tax Preparer Position

Jackson Hewitt Tax Service-CSRA is hiring for the upcoming 2018 Tax Season. We seek the best and the brightest. We operate in 12 locations in the CSRA and offer very flexible working conditions.

We are seeking an experienced tax preparers for our offices located in the Augusta, North Augusta, and Aiken areas. 

Do you have prior tax preparation experience?  If so, great, we would like to speak with you.  If not, we can help you gain the skills to prepare personal income tax returns in a commercial setting.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet all clients in a friendly and professional manner; make customers feel welcome and comfortable.
• Conduct a thorough in-person tax interview with potential clients, utilizing our proprietary tax software application.
• Complete all related tax forms in accordance with policies and in compliance with legislation and regulations.
• Audit all tax return forms for accuracy and completeness (i.e. names, identifying numbers, and client signatures).
• Research tax-related questions and issues and respond to clients in a timely manner.
• Resolve client complaints and/or work with Supervisor (as needed) to resolve any issues or concerns.
• Obtain and maintain an IRS required PTIN as well as any other professional licensing requirements from the IRS, state entities, and Jackson Hewitt Inc.
