Product Sales & Services Lead

The Product Sales Lead is a part of the Product Sales & Services (PSS) Department and will be responsible for selling and explaining the full array of tickets, season passes and ski school products at various Park City sales locations in person and over the phone. The Lead will also supervise, guide and assist in training Front Line Agents and be a role model for the position. This position requires a full knowledge of our products and services including the reservation, selling and fulfillment processes. The Product Sales & Services Leads have a high level of guest interaction and will represent Park City to our guests.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in training and coaching of all PSS agents to ensure successful development and behavior of team members, including timely completion of snapshots, HR documentation, and evaluations
  • Supervise all point of sale locations, including off-site ticket offices
  • Oversee agents’ transactions to ensure accuracy and protocol compliance
  • Adherence to cash handling, credit card management and APOC requirements
  • Open and close sales locations and perform end of day point of sale audits
  • Accurately and efficiently process lift access products, activity products and/or ski school products while capturing guest data in person or over the phone
  • Request and input guest data for every transaction
  • Learn, understand and effectively communicate with the guest about multiple product types and easily adapt to changing pricing and product offerings
  • Make suitable recommendations on products to meet the guests’ needs and the business objectives
  • Handle high volume of guest interaction while delivering exceptional service; internal & external
  • Work on a computer with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
  • Create a fun and professional work experience while communicating in a courteous and respectful manner
  • Professionally assist and follow through with resolution of guest complaints, concerns and suggestions 
  • Participate in resort and departmental trainings and development courses as required
  • Take initiative to perform duties which facilitate operations and maintain cleanliness of work areas
  • Promote, embrace and adhere to Vail Resort’s Mission and Values; provide a safe work environment; implement Vail Resort’s mountain service essentials, strategies, policies and procedures
  • Be willing to cross-train and work in all areas/locations of PSS
  • Perform other duties as appropriate

Job Requirements:   

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two plus years of guest service and cash handling experience
  • Three months of prior Vail Resorts PSS experience preferred
  • One year of supervisory experience
  • Ability to train and coach employees on policies and procedures
  • Proficient on Microsoft applications and above average typing skills
  • Ability to communicate fluently and effectively in English
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to sit, stand or move for long periods or of time
  • Passionate about guest service and the hospitality/ski and snowboard industry
  • Comfortable requesting guest data during every transaction
  • Enthusiastic and outgoing personality
  • Possess strong organizational, time management and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work without direct supervison
  • Ability to develop a quick rapport with internal and external guests
  • Ability to stay calm and perform well in busy and stressful situations
  • Willing and able to work the entire season; dates to be determined by manager; typically beginning of November to end of April
  • Flexible with work schedule; available weekends, holidays, mornings and evenings and commit to the entire season
  • Punctual and ready to work by the start of scheduled shift

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience with Vail Resorts RPOS software
  • Prior experience within Vail Resorts
  • Conducted or assisted with employee evaluations
  • Experienced and/or conversational in a foreign language – Spanish preferred
  • College Degree
  • Outdoor enthusiast
  • Enthusiastic and outgoing personality

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift and carry 25 lbs
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Sit up to seven hours per shift
  • Bend and reach from ground level up to 6’ high
