Full-Time Maintenance Supervisor

Your responsibilities:
• General maintenance and repair throughout the community
• Schedule maintenance on: H.V.A.C., elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, landscape, kitchen equipment, and emergency pull cord equipment
• Conducts regular inspections of life safety systems, including fire extinguishers and sprinkler systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests by residents, including repairing plumbing, electrical, heating, painting and replacing light bulbs
• Assesses all plumbing and electrical problems within the community and determines the best course of action to correct the problem. Works within the legal scope of local and state codes.
• Prepare apartments for rental: painting, shampooing carpets, minor repair of fixtures
• Ordering supplies and monitoring vendors
• Coordinates service and janitorial staff into a priority work schedule.
• Other duties as assigned

 



Required skills and qualifications:

• Two years of maintenance experience
• Flexibility with schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Business competence and leadership skills
• Commitment to high quality standards and continuous improvement
• Team player and ability to work with people of all ages.
• Commitment to serving seniors with kindness and respect.
