Kevertin Pet Resort is looking for an experienced, career-minded animal lover to be our next animal caretaker/kennel attendant as well as someone to supervise and grow our doggie daycare. Full-time and part-time positions available for someone looking for a position with advancement opportunities.Requirements include:attention to detail and observant of animals needs/issuespatiencedependability and responsibilityself-motivatedorganizationstamina --shifts can include 2-3 hours walking at a time rain or shine and environment is often fast-paced with limited down timephysical strength --must be able to lift 40 pounds and be able to control large dogsability to multi-task and take on responsibilitycustomer service skills--interacting with clients in person and on the phonegreat written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with a computerability to follow proceduresability to work independently and as part of a teamsuccessfully completing on-line training courses through MPPC Universitywilling to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basisPrevious professional animal experience and/or knowledge of animals highly preferred but will train the right person.Responsibilities include, but not limited to:walking dogs of all sizes in all weather conditionsfeeding dogs per owner's instructionssupervising and interacting with dogs during play timeadministering medications --pills, ointments, topical treatments, etc..cleaning --facility, kennels, crates, outdoor areas, dogsinspecting dogs of all sizes and temperaments in order to ensure their health and happiness while boarding away from homeoffice work--computer use, phone use, fililngMost starting shifts at the kennel are 6-11 a.m. and 3-7 p.m. seven days a week. Additional shifts are available. Applicant must be available to work most weekends and some holidays --rotating staff so weekends shifts vary.
