At Sunrise, our Dietary Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and direct services for the Skilled Nursing Center's dining operations. The Dietary Supervisor is a hands-on leader in day to day operations directly supervising and assisting the Skilled Nursing Center's dietary services team
RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
Responsibilities:
- Maintains resident focus business decorum at all times
- Oversees the dining room flow, tray delivery service flow
- Balances the serving responsibilities among the dietary staff
- Handling all foods in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards and complies with all federal, state and local regulatory procedures regarding food service
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required or GED required; Associates degree preferred
- One (1) year experience in skilled nursing dining and/or long term care, assisted living or hospital dining
- Supervisory/management experience preferred which may include supervising and responsibility of shift/daily operations
- Maintains current Food Services Sanitation certificate
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
- Ability to read and follow instructions to meet the dietary needs of the residents
- Competent in organizational, time management skills
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
- Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications
