Sweet Tomatoes - Area Manager for Atlanta

We are searching for a strong leader who is passionate about the guest experience and has demonstrated exceptional operational execution. Who knows how to coach, develop and cultivate strong teams within their restaurants that can deliver on the guest experience. This position requires one to live or relocate to the Atlanta market.

Requirements:

Summary

This position is responsible for the results of multiple stores within a district. They must follow and implement through the General Managers the operational priorities, plans, policies, procedures and objectives in support of the Company's strategic plan. They also perform and assist in audits and insuring the units adherence to Company policies and procedures. The Area Manager is also responsible for maintaining the staffing and positive morale of the stores they oversee in all aspects of employee relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Evaluates adequacy of individual restaurant performance and alters or initiates procedures to improve service and reduce expenses.

Reviews and advises on monthly P&L statements. Initiates appropriate action to keep line items within budget.

Is responsible for insuring compliance to standards with The Great Food Shop, Triple S Audit and Guest Satisfaction ratings.

Assists in creating annual restaurant budgets.

Audits for compliance with all Federal laws, State laws and Company policies and procedures personally or through the reports of Regional Internal Auditors.

Meets with General Managers on a regular basis to insure availability as a resource, align store activities with Company objectives, assures seamless communication between the corporate staff and the field.

Maintains positive employee morale within the district. Assisting General Managers and Human Resource Generalists with research, investigation and resolution of any employee relations issues.

Functions as a district recruiter, does all final management interviews.

Assures performance appraisals of management and crew are accurate and timely.

Assures the Company culture and values are introduced and maintained at all levels within the region.

Responds to all calls from managers regarding need of direction and guidance. Fosters a learning environment where teaching and training occur.

Promotes seamless new product introductions and marketing programs for the region.

Travels between restaurants to visually check physical structures and surroundings, noting degree of maintenance provided or required and unusual wear and tear. Coordinates repairs through the General Manager and Facilities Maintenance Manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages multiple subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 40-80 employees each within the restaurants. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of organization. Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, bonus, proportions, percentages to practical business applications. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to related business needs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills, knowledge of spreadsheet software and word processing software.
