POSITION SUMMARY
The Nursing Assistant, under the direction of the Registered or Licensed nurse, is responsible for providing quality patient care which utilizes knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, is appropriate to the age of the patients served, is family-centered and based on the philosophy of Mary Immaculate Hospital, Division of Nursing. As a member of the care delivery team, assists the professional nursing staff in providing patient care necessary for comfort, hygiene, simple treatments, data collection, and documentation. Participates as a team member by performing additional assignments not directly related to the job description when workload requires. Any additional duties as directed by the charge nurse (or licensed personnel) to fulfill patient care needs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Completion of a Nursing Aide training program is required.
2. Virginia State C N A licensure within 90 days of hire is required
