Expo Manager - Delivery Expediter and Logistics - Full-time / Part-time

Driver Expediter for San Rafael or Mill Valley Location

Company Profile: Sol Food is an award-winning authentic Puerto Rican eatery with locations in downtown San Rafael and downtown Mill Valley. We began in 2003 with six employees and have now grown to three locations with over 250 dedicated employees. We have a following of loyal customers, some of whom have been visiting us since the days of the Farmers Market! We have a core group of longtime employees whom we value and depend on greatly.

Summary of Position: Oversee drivers to ensure quality service for all guests. Know the area and be able to set most efficient driver routes. Possess full knowledge of company policies and procedures to provide efficient and responsive service.  Work as a member of the team to assist in solving issues promptly using company guidelines and common sense.  Communicate professionally and respectfully. Maintain an organized, sanitary and safe workspace.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand completely and follow all company policies and procedures.
• Full knowledge of all menu items, including relevant food allergies and dietary needs.
• Be compliant with all duties and responsibilities relating to Drivers and Delivery Expeditors.
• Accurately enter all orders types into computer system including eat in, to go, pick-up and delivery.
• Delegate tasks to Drivers to ensure great customer service and general cleanliness of company property.
• Solve problems promptly using company guidelines and common sense.
• Checks and maintain food warmers.

Qualifications:

• Be able to speak and understand English in order to communicate efficiently with guests and employees.
• Basic knowledge of food service procedures and functions.
• Possess basic math and counting skills.
• Complete understanding of U.S. currency, denominations and cash handling.
• Knowledge of working with P.O.S. computer system.
• Be physically able to work for 5 consecutive hours or more.
• Be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of delivery area.

• Able to identify and properly address problems with equipment and work environment.
• Able to take direction.
• Able to learn and follow work guidelines based on Health Department, OSHA and ADA regulations.

• Must be able to maintain a high level of sanitation/cleanliness in areas.
