Kitchen Shift Leader

Reports to: Kitchen Manager

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: (Majority of duties performed, but not meant to be inclusive or to prevent other duties from being assigned.)

Team Environment - Communicate appropriately with fellow team members, treating others fairly and with respect. Respond positively to feedback and direction given. Hold themselves accountable for their responsibilities on their shift. Adhere to schedule and arrive ready to work on time. Hours of Operation are 12 pm - 2 am.

Qualifications:

Skills

  • Must be able to follow written directions.
  • Able to operate kitchen equipment (minimum age requirements may apply)
  • Must be able to move quickly and do repetitive motions and tasks.
  • Must be able to work with high heat.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace.
  • Must be able to work in 75-85 degree environment.
  • Drivers must have a clean driving history.

POSITION

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

PHYSICAL DEMAND

Fryer

Making mixes, frying cake and yeasting donuts.

  • Must be able to lift and lower screens (up to 8 lbs.) frequently.
  • Must be able to lift 40-60 lbs. with another person frequently.
  • Must be able work with hot oil (375 degrees) while standing frequently.

 

Baker

Prepare and bake bagels, muffins and croissants.

  • Must be able to push full donut racks (up to 50 lbs.) frequently.

Finisher/Picker

Assist in production, staging and loading of donuts and munchkins

  • Must be able to bend and lift screens (2-5 lbs.) frequently.
  • Must be able to lift 40-50 lbs. frequently.
  • Must be able to push full donut racks (up to 50 lbs.) frequently.

Loafer

Making mixes of dough and coffee rolls.

  • Must be able to lift 90-100 lbs. with another person frequently.
  • Must be able to push full donut racks (up to 50 lbs.) frequently.

Shrinker

Manipulate dough to ensure proper weight for production.

  • Must be able to push full donut racks (up to 50 lbs.) frequently.

Sanitation

Cleaning and sanitization of racks and baskets for evening production.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.

Driver

Loading, transporting and delivering donuts and other baked goods to the stores.

  • Must be able to get in and out of commercial truck frequently.
  • Pushing loaded (up to 50 lbs.) and empty racks in and out of truck frequently.
