Sign-on Bonus $7,500. Providence is calling a Registered Nurse to work as a Clinical Development Specialist for our Oncology units at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.

We're looking for an engaging, dynamic and expert Oncology clinician to lead the clinical development of our nursing staff. Our organization is highly involved in cutting edge clinical trials and by joining us you too can be part of this legacy!

In this position, you will:

* Be accountable for development of education and programs that supports the provision and quality of nursing services at the facility level, in support of Providence Health & Services System and Regional goals. Strategically plan for education and programs to ensure a balance of optimal and efficient patient care; staff, patient, and physician satisfaction; and cooperative partnerships with other organizational departments and professional groups.

* Focus on patient-centeredness and staff and patient safety.

* Support standards and systems for care delivery for their facility. These systems of care delivery promote evidence-based practice and are designed to support the management of productivity targets within a context of constant change in patient volumes, patient acuity, and available resources.

* Lead in education and planning strategically, consistently support efficient and effective patient care services, and that support the organizational and system goals. This includes advancing the strategic vision and goals of the Oregon Nursing Center of Excellence.

* Constructively manage change and promotes a team-based approach.

* Work with our research team to develop education for the bedside/chair-side nurse for all phases of clinical trials (including phase 1).

Required qualifications for this position include:

* Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)

* Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Master's in related field

* Current Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) License

* 6 years in nursing with experience in progressive leadership roles

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

* OCN Strongly preferred

* National Certification from American Nurses Association (ANA) or Professional Organization in relevant field of clinical expertise strongly recommended
