This busy Waterway location is looking for a CASHIER / SALES ASSOCIATE who takes delight in working with the public and has a friendly, outgoing personality.  The on-duty Cashier is a high profile, high impact member of the sales, service and merchandising team.  Waterway Cashiers work inside our convenience store and prove every day that they’re customer service professionals!  Our Cashier Team gets to know their customers, and the customers get to know YOU!  The right Cashier candidate will be a people person who is professional, upbeat, thrives in a fast paced environment and knows how to have fun at work.

Expectations:

• A valid driver’s license is a must
• Can abide by our conservative appearance standards (large tattoos must be covered)
• Positive, helpful attitude with customers and co-workers
• Great work ethic and willingness to quickly gain knowledge of register operation, including cash, credit cards and register receipts
• Speaks clearly and can convey information accurately
• Ability to process coupons, refunds, gift cards and checks

Responsibilities:

• Impress and engage with every customer
• Perform basic math functions to collect payments and make change
• Operate registers, scanners, and credit card/debit card terminals
• Memorize product locations throughout the store and be able to direct customers or make suggestions
• Collect payments and bag purchases for customers
• Maintain accurate cash drawer
• Keep the checkout area and convenience store clean and orderly
