Food Prep / Cook - Ben Lomond

Kikka sushi is looking for a dependable, patient and understanding Food Prep / Cook who can provide great customer service in the Ben Lomond Market located at 9440 Mill St, Ben Lomond, 95005 

The Food Prep / Cook will make sushi in advance and per customer's request.  You don’t know how to make sushi, no problem we will teach you! 

The team member will work by themselves, 8am - 5pm shift, do prep work, make other Asian foods and maintain a clean and neat environment while helping customers in a fast paced and sometimes challenging environment.

Qualifications:

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Food Prep / Cook is comfortable working with and touching raw, meats, poultry, fish and shellfish
• Be familiar with sushi
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Be able to stand for long periods of time, which includes up to 8 hours a day, with designated break periods
• Be self-motivated, responsible and communicative
• Be patient and understanding
• Show great customer service skills
• Have excellent time management skills
• Work all Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
• Be eligible to work in the U.S.

Preferred experience:

• Working in quick service restaurants, supermarkets or fast paced retail environments
• California food handlers card or ServSav certification

Pay is $12-$14 per hour no tips, depending on recent food handling or sushi making experience.
