The RN Clinical Research Nurse functions within the full scope of RN licensure and assumes responsibility for managing and coordinating activities of Memorial Medical Centers (MMC) Clinical Research Programs as it pertains to non-oncology studies. The RN Clinical Research Nurse is responsible for the oversight of clinical trials at MMC including the initial start up, management of regulatory documents, IRC (Institutional Review Committee) submission, in-servicing, enrollment of patients, patient follow-up, completion of case report forms, and all components of clinical research. The RN Clinical Research Nurse works collaboratively with the physician primary investigator, sub-investigators, and other healthcare professionals. Participates in program development activities, provides data management and communicates effectively to provide physicians and adult patient population participation in clinical trials. Accountable for cardiovascular data collection and any other statistical reporting designated by the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse Department Manager.

Serving the greater Stanislaus County with 423 plus acute care beds, Memorial Medical Center provides a full continuum of care including 24-hour emergency care, inpatient and outpatient surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, nuclear medicine, dialysis therapy, diagnostic imaging, intensive care, physical therapy, and home health. Specialized care includes Memorial Regional Cancer Center and Memorial Heart Institute.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of California.

* Three (3) years recent acute experience in critical care nursing, to include the ICU, Cath Lab or Emergency Department.

* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

* Prior experience in a position in which clinical skill and leadership qualities have been demonstrated.

* Ability to manage own time and schedule own tasks. Must have initiative to work efficiently without constant supervision and direction.

* Basic computer knowledge to include experience with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel.

* Ability to read, write, hear and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job.

* Must be able to travel in accordance with any requirements of your job (if MMC and/or own vehicle used on MMC business, must possess valid California Driver's License and upon request proof of liability insurance).

Preferred Qualifications:

* Baccalaureate Degree in a health related field.

* Experience in research, data management or statistical analysis.

* CCRC (Certified Clinical Research Coordinator)

* Prior experience in coordinating research trials.

* Prior experience using the following computer programs: Midas and Apollo.
