Cold Forming Machinist

Our Customer in Medina, Ohio, is a global market leader for mechanical fastening systems and precision formed components. They serve diversified end markets, including the automotive, construction/construction supply, electrical/electronics, aerospace and medical components industry.

They are looking for a Cold Forming Machinist to join their amazing team! This is a Direct Hire opportunity.

Requirements:

• 3-5 yrs. experience in cold forming, forging or stamping
• Ability to work in a team
• HS diploma/GED, additional training on specific skills preferred

Responsibilities:

• Read prints - product specification
• Machine set up and operations
• Transforming metal wire to a product through the use of multi-die headers
• Focus on cut-off process - exact amount of wired needed to produce finished product
• Two die up to six die below, multi-die headers forming parts
• Troubleshoot errors - using inspection and gauges
• Adjusts timing, cam other settings for wire progression
• Provides dies to tool service for repairs, assists as needed
• Preventative maintenance
• Inspect quality of the product produced, use of test equipment - mics/calipers, gauges, comparator and other parameters
• Follow safe work practices - preventative and predictive maintenance, proper tools
• Stand long periods of time
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
