Akron client has an immediate need for an Industrial Electrician. This is a direct-hire opportunity with a great organization!
Hours are 7am-4pm, M-F;
Salary is $20-25 an hour (based upon experience) with full compensation & benefits package.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot electrical circuits, power distribution, and controls hardware; perform work for Engineering, Maintenance and IT departments.
Procuring electrical fittings, wire, hangers and hardware for capital project installations as well as plant maintenance repairs.
Bend and run EMT and rigid conduit; must be able to pull and terminate wiring for power, controls and communications.
Document and track changes to electrical drawings.
Work with Engineering or Supervisor to produce As Built Drawings at the completion of capital projects.
Assist project engineers and others as assigned to test new systems during start-up.
Hands-on problem-solving, analysis, troubleshooting, and maintenance that will improve reliability, productivity, and decrease downtime on existing or new equipment.
Support maintenance function on an as needed basis,
Perform other duties, from time to time, as required by supervisor.
Requirements:
Education & Experience: Journeyman Certification and/or formal training strongly preferred; minimum 5 years of Industrial Electrician experience strongly preferred.
Communications: Good verbal/written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Leadership: The ability to take direction and to carry out instructions from the supervisor in an orderly and efficient manner. Must lead by example and display a strong work ethic for others to follow.
Work Style: Possess strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
