Job Summary

We have openings for our 2018 Summer Internship Program in Marketing located in Monroe, LA and Denver, CO. Interns will gain real-world experience in a 10 week internship in one of three areas of our Marketing Department: Data Analytics, Communication and Product Management.

Interns will provide support to the marketing team by assisting with the development of marketing process strategies for new product releases, supporting planning and execution of new products by gathering requirements and coordinating development efforts, and implementation; performing data analysis and assisting with reporting; developing advertising and commercial content creation and social media blogs. The ideal intern would have a major in one of the following MBA, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism or a similar degree. Our internship will provide a student intern with practical work experience designed to expand their classroom education and career path as they prepare for a profession in Marketing.

Job Description

Responsibilities: Data Analytics Intern

* Complete and update metrics and ongoing reports

* Assist with reporting, trending, and analysis of various sales data

* Monitor and research market trends

* Assist with the developing programs, plans, and strategies for marketing process improvements

* Assist with management of ongoing projects

* Prepare and organize metric presentation slides using intermediate and advanced Excel and PowerPoint

* Attend meetings, document information, and contribute constructive feedback

* Communicate and interface with all levels of management, including Managers, Directors and Vice-Presidents

Responsibilities Communications Intern:

* Assist with development of advertising and commercial content creation

* Possess a passion for social media and experience with social media platforms

* Write compelling social media blogs

* Structure and convey information in verbal and written presentation formats with strong attention to detail and immaculate command of spelling, punctuation and grammar

* Possess strong written and verbal communication skills and have a affinity for writing (writing sample will be requested

Responsibilities: Product Management Intern

* Assist with defining product requirements

* Coordinate across multiple groups to plan out releases and to deliver product on schedule

* Possess customer facing experience and presentation skills from executives to end users

* Have the ability to work independently and within a shared team-oriented environment using sound judgment in decision-making

* Posses excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical, problem solving and project management ability

* Well organized with attention to details and capable of performing multiple tasks simultaneously within deadlines in a dynamic environment

Qualifications

Qualifications:

* In pursuit of Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, MBA, Analytics, Communications and Journalism

* Ability to deliver accurate and succinct communications

* Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities, set direction and solve problems in a fast pace environment

* Solid organizational skills including attention to detail

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Requirements:

* Must submit a resume, transcript, and a letter of recommendation (at time of interview)

* Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher (Preferred GPA 3.2)

* Must be currently enrolled at a 4-year accredited College or University

* Must be a rising junior, senior or graduate student

* Must work 30-40 hours per week during the 10 week session

* Must have reliable transportation to and from work daily for the duration of the internship
