Comet Cleaners is sourcing candidates for a Customer Service Associate position for a dry cleaning firm in San Antonio, Texas

 

Qualified candidates will have:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Basic administrative and computer skills.
  • Good reading, writing and arithmetic knowledge.
  • A commitment to customer service.

 

Typical duties include:

 

  • Greets and acknowledges customers in a friendly and professional manner and receives orders in person and by drive thru for repairing, cleaning and pressing.
  • Collects customer information and customer articles and enters into point of sale (POS) system and provides customer with quick ticket designating customer pick up time.
  • Sorts articles according to designated area, uses heat sealing machine to tag articles and places additional tags on articles identifying specialized cleaning and repair needs.
  • Inspects clothing for stains and inspects pockets for personal belongings, stores personal belongings in designated area and places notes on customer’s file for return at pick up.
  • Invoices orders and prepares for plant delivery.
  • Answers questions in person, by drive thru and phone regarding customer orders, services offered and other dry cleaning business related information.
  • Performs store opening and closing duties to include locking/unlocking doors, activating/deactivating alarm, turning lights and equipment on/off, reconciling end of day sales, etc.
  • Provides exceptional customer service at all time by proactively identifying customers’ needs and educating customers on services to meet identified needs.
  • Assists customer with pick up orders and resolves customer service issues in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Represents and upholds professional reputation by maintaining a clean appearance and clean working environment.
  • Maintains store cleanliness by cleaning windows and doors, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors, ensuring counters are clean and free of clutter, taking out trash, etc.
  • Maintains customer information in POS system for accuracy and efficiency and enters all relevant notes promptly.
  • Prepares claim, void and comp forms relating to customer complaints. Maintains communication with Store Manager on all discrepancies to minimize unnecessary costs and delays.
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures accordingly and reports inappropriate conduct to supervisor immediately.
  • Maintains knowledge of policies and procedures, services offered and fees and other dry cleaning related information.
