Purpose
This position is responsible for analyzing internal and external theft trends throughout the company. It will work closely with the Corporate Investigator. It will also be responsible for regularly reviewing point of sale exception reports to identify theft trends out in our stores. Once detected, the individual will partner with the Regional Safety & Loss Prevention Manager to be sure that a thorough investigation is conducted. The Corporate Investigator - Field Operations will travel to stores throughout the company to establish an impression of control through CCTV review and procedural validation. They will work closely with the Corporate Investigator at the Store Support Center and Regional Safety & Loss Prevention Managers out in the field. The Corporate Investigator - Field Operations will report directly to the Senior Director of Safety and Asset Protection.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Physical Work - Ability exert 30 - 60 pounds of force occasionally, and or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Essential Job Functions
Shrink Prevention and Awareness
- Investigate and detect possible theft trend exposures, both internal and external
- Review data and analyze POS exception reports to detect theft and behaviors that contribute to shrink; validate exceptions using CCTV
- Partner with the Regional Safety & Loss Prevention Manager as needed to resolve investigations
- Partner with Law Enforcement to be sure that Floor & Decor's cases receive the proper attention
- Partner with the Regional Safety & Loss Prevention Manager whenever a safety violation is observed while reviewing CCTV
- Partner with the Regional Safety & Loss Prevention Manager whenever a hazardous material exposure is observed when reviewing CCTV
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- High School diploma or GED (College degree preferred)
- 10 years of investigator experience
- Experience in conducting dishonest employee interviews
- Exception reporting, CCTV Equipment, Covert Camera Installation, Burglar alarms
- Internal Interview Technique/Training (Wicklander-Zulawski certification preferred)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Working knowledge of law enforcement
- Strong analytical and time management skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality concerning projects and assignments
- Knowledge of retail operations, Loss Prevention, and Investigations
- Ability to proactively and independently analyze historical data, theft trends and exceptions
- Proven problem-solving and team building skills
- Excellent organizational skills, delegation and follow-up skills
- Basic computer skills including MS Word and Excel
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Frequent travel required including air and car travel
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy.
