About this job
The HR Generalist will take a business partner approach in guiding the development of employee relations and human resource polices and programs. This position will serve in various areas of HR including but not limited to; employee relations, policy development and adherence, company and legal compliance, risk management, compensation and benefits, performance management.

Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
* Give HR counsel and execute HR programs, policies, and practices so that quality objectives and deadlines are met successfully
* Serves as a resource to employees and restaurant management in discussing and resolving employment issues
* Monitors and responds to Helpline calls/emails
* Provides objective feedback, makes recommendations on all employee relations issues
* Responsible for employee relations assistance to field management including investigation recommendation and/or resolution
* Provides advice with regard to policy questions and issues not clearly addressed in existing policies
* Provides advice and counsel supporting compliance with all applicable employment law and regulations (e.g., ADA, FMLA, EEOC, non-discrimination in hiring and promotion, etc.)
* Manages and responds to incident reports and workers' compensation claims
* Oversees the creations of metrics/surveys that track cultural health of the organization and measure employee concerns and priorities, thereby proactively driving change
* Manages vendor relations and legal resources as needed
* Works collaboratively with other HR functions to achieve departmental and company objectives
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Bachelor's degree and 2 - 4 years of experience in Human Resources
* HR Certification: PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent certification.
* Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws and regulations including ADA, FMLA, EEO, and FLSA
* Prior experience handling legal claims and compliance
* Prior experience with an HRIS
* Prior experience with benefits enrollment
* Advanced ability to interpret, implement and develop policies and procedures in a complex environment
* Proficient ability to develop and design material for presentation to audiences of all sizes
* Proven investigatory, problem-solving and counseling skills
* Ability to interface successfully with internal clients, external vendors and governmental agencies
* Dependability, flexibility and professional demeanor
